FAQ: “What is this going to cost me?”

There are a few questions that new patients ask all the time.  In the next few weeks, I’ll give some answers that may help you when choosing Dr. Barotz to help you with your dentistry.

Most of the callers that are new to our practice ask that question: “How much is this going to cost me?”  And “this” can mean anything: Teeth cleaning, exam, implants, LANAP, extraction, dentures… anything.

The “how much” question is about as easy to answer as diagnosing car trouble by seeing it parked in a driveway: nearly impossible.  Before anything can be properly diagnosed, be it car trouble or dental care, you must be examined.  A proper and thorough examination gives Dr. Barotz the opportunity to evaluate your oral health completely.  By looking at the “big picture” of your health, the doctor can present you with as many treatment options as possible that will address your concerns.

Beyond the options that are presented to you, Dr. Barotz also wants to verify that any diagnosis that you’ve been given is correct!  You’d be surprised how often a patient comes in to see us, thinking that teeth need to be pulled and replaced with either implants or dentures, only to find out that their teeth are fine and don’t need to be pulled after all!

So how can you get a prices and options for your treatment?  There are several options, depending on what kind of concerns you have.  We have different exams for everything from pain in your mouth to gum disease to cosmetic concerns.  If you just need your teeth cleaned, we can get you for that, too.

Above all, we are always happy to provide you with a no-charge consultation.  If you want to just visit our practice, to meet the doctor and get an idea of what options are available to you, we would be glad to set you up for that.
